Clinical Therapy & Specialties

✨ Welcome

Therapy is your space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself. At Melanated Healing Counseling & Consulting, we believe in creating a safe, compassionate, and culturally affirming environment where you feel seen, heard, and supported. Together, we’ll explore your challenges, strengthen your coping skills, and work toward the balance, healing, and wholeness you deserve.

Our Clients

We provide Telehealth and virtual individual counseling for adolescents, young adults, and adults (ages 13+). Our clients come to us ready to address a variety of needs and receive support in reaching their goals. Many individuals seek counseling to manage anxiety and stress, learning healthier ways to cope with the demands of daily life. Others come for support with depression and mood concerns, wanting guidance to move through feelings of sadness, disconnection, or hopelessness. We also work with clients who struggle with anger management, offering tools to better understand and express emotions.

In addition, we support those impacted by trauma and PTSD, helping them regain a sense of safety, connection, and empowerment. Our work with children and adolescents often focuses on peer relationships, school stress, emotional regulation, and family dynamics. We also assist individuals navigating relationship challenges, whether with partners, friends, or family, to foster healthier communication and stronger connections. Finally, we are especially passionate about addressing women’s issues, including self-esteem, vulnerability, identity, and the stress of balancing roles at home, work, and in community life.

Session Format

We provide individual therapy sessions offered virtually through the SimplePractice Telehealth platform. Each session is designed to meet your unique needs in a safe, confidential, and supportive online environment, allowing you to access care conveniently from your own space.

Our Practice

Counseling services are provided virtually through TeleMentalHealth in Missouri and Virginia, using secure online platforms. Sessions are accessible from the comfort of your own space while maintaining the same level of confidentiality, professionalism, and support as in-person counseling.

Therapeutic approaches are tailored to each client’s needs. Together, we identify the areas to be addressed, allowing you the autonomy to guide your own healing journey while being supported with evidence-based practices and culturally responsive care.

All services are managed through secure online client portals (SimplePractice, Alma, and Headway), which serve as a central hub for intake and consent forms, scheduling sessions, secure video conferencing, billing, payments, and, when applicable, insurance claim support.
